I hate scrolling and tried if I could add another sidebar to the simple blogger theme. A piece of cake actually! Even the drag and drop layout editor recognized the additional widget container without any serious hazards. You just need add another b:section block where you want it and styles and it should work just like that. Blogger enginge turnes the section into div-elements so you won't find it in the rendered html-source. I'd appreciate feedback especially if the layout goes haywire on your browser!
Another thing I'm quite excited about is the RSS widget. Added photography related favourite feed from Delicious which provides feeds for each tag and many other things too. Cool.
