Maaseutu laajenee laajenemistaan. Seuraavaksi alle uhkaa jäädä Luolavuoren viihtyisä asuinalue Suomen Turussa. Heinäpellot ovat levittäytyneet jo aivan asutuksen tuntumaan.

Hanhiemolle ois vähän asiaa

Siellähän eletään niinkuin Ellun kanat pellossa. Nääs valkoposkihanhet on kokoontuneet Ruisrokkiin, Woodstokkiin tai mikä se nyt sitten onkaan, missä hanhet sekoilee isolla porukalla.

Virta vie, pato pysäyttää

Valokuvatorstain haasteeseen "Virta" vastaan vanhalla kuvalla Aurajoesta Halistenkosken alapuolelta, josta virta jatkaa vääjäämättä matkaansa merta kohti.

Football Women

UEFA Women's European football (i.e. soccer) Championchips are being held in Finland. Sweden versus England as well as any other match picked up full crowds.

These games are quite entertaining because the girls are quite fast and mistakes tend to happen too. The English beat the Finns in semi finals (or whatever).

Huijaan häikäilemättömästi ja ilmottaudun mukaan "vanhalla" kuvalla.
Uusiakin kuvia on kesällä kertynyt vino pino ja sainkin juuri viimeisteltyä kuvakirjatilauksen, jonka Ifolor ystävällisesti minulle tarjosi. Lopputuloksen laadusta kommenttia varmaan myöhemmin. Suunnittelusoftan laadun kanssa meinasi revetä pelihousut.

Local match between soccer clubs TPS and Inter gathered a record setting audience to the Veritas stadium in Turku, Finland

9089 participants witnessed an intense struggle which ended in 2-0 win for TPS. Please note the new section behind the goal which was built this year due to requirements for the women European Championchips tournament.

May I please have keys to your appartment?

A while ago I received a request concerning a photo of mine. Someone liked the scenery which was familiar to him from his childhood. The request was if he could have the high resolution original so that he could print an enlargment (for personal use). You can call me sceptic but I have my doubts. Luckily a satisfyable solution exists for us people with doubts. I hand over the high-res version to Deviant Art, they will print and ship it to pretty much anywhere in the world. I'll even get my (tiny) cut of the revenue of the printshop. If you want to buy prints of the photo above, you can order them at reasonable price from deviant shop.

If you however want to print and sell 10.000 postcards to tourist shops with my photo, contact me and be straight with your intentions. I'll be fair too.

Response to Challenge number 117 of "Photo Thursday" on the topic "many". In Turku, it's a tradition to start the celebration of "Vappu" on eve of May Day by gathering to a common location for capping ceremony where a representative of the student board of the University gives a speech, some music is played and everybody puts their student cap on at 6 pm. The cap is worn that night and during the following May Day. Current students wear a special party jump suit outfit. Such dresscode makes many people look alike which is quite fun - for one day in a year.

Valokuvatorstai: Planeetta

Valokuvatorstain haaste 116 lyhyesti ja ytimekkäästi sana "planeetta". Planeetta on nykyään varsin yksikäsitteinen sana, vaikkakin etymologiasta löytyykin vähän pelivaraa määritelmän suhteen. Alun alkaen planeetta on tarkoittanut taivaalla vaeltajaa eli mitä tahansa näkyvää taivaankappaletta, joka liikkuu suhteessa "kiinteään" tähtikuvioon. Nykyisellään planeetta on varattu kuvaamaan keskustähteä kiertäviä melko suuria taivaankappaleita. Planeetan luonteeseen kuuluu myös, että ne eivät juurikaan säteile valoa, vaan lähinnä heijastavat keskustähtiensä säteilyä, kuten esim. yo. kuvassa hehkuvan valkoisen pilviverhon lomasta pilkistävä kotiplaneettamme maa.

Valokuvatorstai - 115. haaste

Valokuvatorstain mollivoittoisesta inspiraatioteksipätkästä tuli väkisinkin mieleen tilanteet, joissa yhteys sitten löytyykin. "Sata salamaa iskee tulta..", "Sparks will fly.." jne.
Melankolian suo on loputon - "surut pois ja kukka rintaan" (Viikate).
